Saints, Sinners & Cynics
Tuesday just got a whole lot deeper!

The hangs out at Rookie’s Sports Bar at Second and Water on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:00 to meet with whoever shows up and talk about whatever the gathering wants to consider. Ever wonder about the fourth century Donatist heresy? We can talk about that. Perplexed by the difference between post- and pre-lapsarian pre-destinationism? We can talk about that. Really rather sip something hoppy and talk about what we’re having for the next Parish supper? We can go there, too.

Some of us are saints, some of us are sinners, some of us are cynics, but truth be told, most of us are a little bit of all three. If you’d like to hang around with others in the same boat, come on by any Tuesday, and see what comes of it.
Education for Ministry
Episcopal Essentials
Education is not, of course, just for professional students.

Education for Ministry is a four-year program of theological education for the laity of the Episcopal Church through study of the Hebrew Bible, the Christian Testament, Church history and the spectrum of theological thought, and, more importantly, by learning a new way of looking at the whole of life.

Like every good thing in life, there are some costs involved: The fees are nominal and the time involved is manageable. The real cost is the commitment to participate with your whole self. And that is also the greatest re-ward—being part of something so filled with challenge and with wonder.
We could all benefit from knowing more about who we are, our relationship with our Lord, and how that relationship is lived out in the life of the Anglican Communion, the Episcopal Church, and St. Paul’s.

Episcopal Essentials is especially helpful for those preparing for Confirmation or Reception, but Episcopalians new and old can learn more about what we believe and do… and why.
